George Washington
Carver National Monument needs your help judging the annual George Washington
Carver Art and Essay Contest for area 3rd and 4th graders! The
essay judging will be held on Tuesday, March 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in serving as a
judge should contact Ranger Diane Eilenstein or Superintendent James
Heaney at 417.325.4151. The ceremony
honoring all the students and their teachers will be held at the park on March
28 at 2:00 p.m. The annual Art and Essay
contest is a partnership between the Park, the Carver Birthplace Association
and Missouri Southern State University.
It is a wonderful program to connect
area youth to the Park and Carver's legacy. Thank you to Judy Stiles, Bill Hunt
and the talented students at MSSU for producing the PSA to promote the program.
