Loving Grace is seeking an exceptional candidate to join our staff fulltime as a Community Coordinator. The Community Coordinator should engender a sense of excitement, optimism, and Godly confidence in achieving the annual goals of Loving Grace and be committed to helping foster the culture outlined in our Mission, Vision, and Values.

The Community Coordinator is a key member of our small Admin Team and operates with specific focus on building and maintaining the programs, services, and capacity of Loving Grace with community organizations through partnership and recognition.

Responsibilities will include executing strategies for effective communication with community members; maintaining and creating high quality relationships with organization staff; secure business and corporate sponsorships and providing resources, training, and other services that will benefit and grow community relationships and investments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to do the job outlined below. Candidates invited to an interview will be provided with additional details of the position at that time.

Hours: 30 hours/week, Mon-Fri. Evenings and weekends as needed for special events.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Connect, engage, support, and maintain current relationships with community organizations and businesses while serving as the ultimate spokesperson for Loving Grace, dedicated to raising public awareness.
  • Build up a volunteer system that engages participants in the mission and vision of Loving Grace, providing regular volunteer opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of community-partner engagement, providing consistent updates on financial matters such as business sponsorships to the Development Coordinator and Executive Director in a timely fashion.
  • Strategize and implement effective outreach to potential organizations in the community for partnership growth.
  • Support current partners through analysis of statistics/data to determine where to direct attention and resources, staying apprised of and integrating emerging trends.
  • Create complementary handouts and toolkits used during consultation, outreach, and other opportunities outside of public relations.
  • Manage timely communication and facilitate sharing of ideas and best practices via email, phone, internet, and other means to organization partners and other constituents.
  • Work together with the Development Coordinator to steward all mid-level, monthly, and lower- level donors—striving, with every interaction, to make each person feel as if they are the MOST valuable donor we have—because they are!
  • Create and implement a plan to reach out to and re-engage lapsed donors.
  • Work to develop and maintain an accurate report of campaign progress.
  • Attend Fundraising meetings to help facilitate the mission of Loving Grace and implement annual fundraisers.
  • Create content for social media by brainstorming and planning engagements including photographing/videoing employees, residents, partners, etc.
  • Attend events and speaking engagements such as church group presentations, non-profit collaborations, volunteer fairs, resource events, conferences, and other public forums and networking groups daily/weekly to represent the ministry of Loving Grace.
Requirements

Demonstrated commitment to cultural humility and social justice work.

Experience with the nonprofit sector.

Thorough knowledge and experience with volunteer management practices.

Strong social media presence and engagement, demonstrating self-awareness and adherence to the ministry of Loving Grace.

Proven ability to build relationships and engage with diverse parties and organizations.

Proven understanding of project management

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal, demonstrating appropriate application to appeal to a variety of audiences through a multitude of communication formats.

Verifiable history of successful Event Management/Fundraising.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) plus some website management via WordPress.

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING IS HELPFUL:

Knowledge of Service-Learning Leadership Development training.

GiveButter, Zeffy, Mailchimp, and Web management (WordPress, Network for Good, GivePulse).

Basic graphic design skills and sensibilities, including familiarity with Canva Pro.? Adobe Creative Suite Software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Flash).

Familiarity with social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, others).
