In this capacity, your chief duty involves aiding the Director of Nursing with effective management over all nursing department operations.
Additionally, supporting the Director by ensuring strict adherence to regulations regarding physician documentation and nurse personnel tasks; as well making certain that relevant regional policies/procedures are meticulously enforced.
Conducting daily rounds enables direct engagement specifically regarding employee work performance duties or potential hazards identification- ensuring consistent service provision in line with each patient's unique requirements.
Assists with Continuous Quality Improvement and corrective follow-up actions.
Follows up daily on each unit to ensure changes in status are reported and recorded and that services are provided.
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, completes chart audits and reports results and progress, and makes recommendations for improvement to the Director of Nursing.
Ensures proper infection control techniques are utilized.
