Southwest
Missouri Bank, trustee of the W.R. Corley Memorial Trust, has announced the
availability of grants to qualified non-profit organizations. Eligible entities include those who provide
services to the homeless and low-income populations in Jasper and Newton
Counties.
“Bob Corley
was a lifelong area resident who supported many charities and institutions in
his life,” said Chuck Brown, Senior Vice President and Trust Officer at
Southwest Missouri Bank. “His legacy
will have a lasting impact on our community and his charitable trust will allow
his philanthropy to continue.”
Grant
applications will be available beginning May 1st by emailing Trust@smbonline.com or by calling 417-623-3424.
Applications are due by May 29th. Grants will be reviewed by a distribution
committee and awarded in mid-July.
“Our hope is
that many of our local organizations who strive to help the homeless and the
disadvantaged in our area will take advantage of this opportunity,” said
Brown. “Mr. Corley would want to know
that his generosity made a difference here.”
