Motivated by the love of Christ, Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri seeks to improve the lives of the vulnerable by providing quality, compassionate social services which meet local needs.

Temporary home and nurturing care for local children ages 0-17 whose families are experiencing a crisis such as overwhelming parental stress, homelessness, hospitalization, fear of abusing or neglecting children, lack of food or utilities, parent seeking substance abuse or mental health treatment. Through the services we provide, we work to protect children, prevent child abuse and neglect, reduce family stress, and ultimately keep families together. Professional staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no cost to families.

Economic Security Corporation of Southwest Area (ESC) is a private non-profit Community Action Agency, created in October 1965 to serve the needs of low-income individuals and families. The Vision:  A thriving community of neighbors that is free from poverty.  The mission is to provide comprehensive services that instill hope and share opportunities to eliminate the conditions of poverty and help neighbors achieve self-sufficiency.  Community work and direct services include Utility Assistance, Homeless Programs,  Homeless Employment Opportunities, Disaster funding, Head Start, Early Head Start, Employment & Training, Weatherization, and Home Repair.

Jasper County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a chapter of the national CASA that places volunteers with foster children to guide and support them through the process of finding a permanent home.  Volunteers who work as court-appointed special advocates meet regularly with a child or sibling group in the foster care system and advocate for their rights. Volunteers are appointed by a judge and communicate with parties in the case and make recommendations to the court that are in the best interest of the child.  Volunteers are always needed!
