About
The Missouri Southern Foundation was established in 1967 as a separated 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to foster, cooperate, and assist in the growth, development, and advancement of Missouri Southern State University. This is accomplished by working with individuals, corporations, and organizations who contribute resources to improve educational opportunities for students at MSSU. These contributions help in areas such as scholarships, facilities and improvements, and departmental support to name a few.
The Foundation is governed by an independent board of directors. This 25-member board meets quarterly to strategize the best motives of the Foundation.
The Foundation is supported by Office of Development staff members who work in close partnership with university administration, deans, faculty and staff to secure contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support identified priorities for the university.
