JOB FUNCTIONS:
Communicate
program progress to the Board and other stakeholders
Operate
on a 5-year timeline with special attention spread across the 17 actionable
items at different stages
This
position requires exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Be
able to confidently work and communicate with community leaders comprised of
higher education, health delivery, local business, non-profit, and various
levels of government representatives
The
ability to tap into leadership at the highest levels of an organization and
ensure that key institutions and community leaders remain actively involved,
even across transitions
The
ability to stay organized and move projects forward
Demonstrate
comprehensive knowledge of the TEConomy strategic plan and how its success
directly benefits the stakeholders and the community at large
Serve
as the primary point of contact for the JRAH
Expand the Alliance’s position as a leader in the health science and health education space by providing guidance, data and up to date information on trends and best practices to the local community and stakeholders therein
Monitor
and analyze outcomes and deliverables of the strategic plan to improve program
delivery and measure effectiveness
Hire
and direct one additional paid staff member of the organization; delegate and
supervise implement specific segments of the strategic plan
Operate
within a budget
Provide
assistance with researching, procuring, reviewing, analyzing, and managing
federal, state, and private foundation grants to support JRAH initiatives and
activities
Maintain
records and data and draft reports, memoranda, letters, and other written
materials as requested
Represent
the JRAH at private and public meetings, workshops, trainings, presentations,
seminars, and other events
Attend
community meetings and events related to health care, health education and
other opportunities relevant to fulfilling the mission of the JRAH
Track
and analyze legislation, if and when it is applicable to the JRAH and its
priorities
Conducts
oneself in a manner consistent with organization values, goals and objectives
Other
duties assigned as necessary
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year nationally accredited college or university, preferably in health care administration, public health, business administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of (5) years of experience in project management, strategic planning or health care systems. Will also consider experience at an executive or managerial level in a non-profit, governmental, or closely related field.
Proven track record in implementing strategic initiatives and managing complex projects.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
Ability
to meet deadlines frequently and possess the flexibility to handle multiple
projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and build and maintain relationships with various personality types occupying various leadership positions.
Special consideration given for working knowledge of health care processes and protocols as well as state and federal laws and regulations that affect the health care and higher education operations.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with telehealth and digital health solutions.
Knowledge of higher education program development.
Familiarity with research and innovation ecosystems.
Understanding
of community health and health care delivery systems.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This physical location will be located at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce where other people occupy the space around them. However, the director may also work off-site in a hybrid format within the Joplin area.
COMPENSATION:
Salary: annual $80K to $100K depending on experience
